Born country in Etowah, TN. Still live here and went through a country/modern phase. I think it is safe to say that I am on the road to becoming pretty much as country as you can get! Hopefully by June!

Country
Born in a small town in SW PA, went to school in a one room schoolhouse (1960's) until we moved closer to where my dad worked in the steel mills. Hated living in the city. Too many people, too many shallow people, too many houses crammed together. Then we moved to the country, lived on a farm with over 100+ acres. LOVED IT! Felt totally free and happy there. Got married, lived in small town for over 20 years. Too many people, shallow people and houses. Now, I'm back out in the country, but not far enough. I can't wait for the Tennessee move. It'll definitely be out in the country.
But, like some others, I'm a little bit country, but do enjoy a few of the amenities of the city. I love concerts, plays, and the sporting events, but I honestly don't see the appeal of shopping in the city. If you shop smart, you can get cheaper and better deals elsewhere. The outlet malls are about a 30 minute drive from me in Grove City PA, and Cranberry is 30 minute drive in the other direction. No stop lights within 3 miles.
blessings, Shen

We're city turned country. That's why we want to move to Tennessee. We have chickens, cows and will be getting a pig pretty soon. I make homemade yogurt, hoping to make cheese one day with fresh milk from the farm. Make all homemade foods from scratch, including our own beef. Looking forward to seeing fireflies, hearing the birds instead of the highway out in front of our home right now in Washington. My husband is interested in beekeeping and just loves the animals. We can't wait to purchase a home and 60+ acres in Tennessee. We'd love to give eggs and gifts and blessings to our neighbors and people we know. Country, country, country!

I was sitting on our back deck friday morning. It was a beautiful spring morning and the birds were so noisy that they were annoying. The mountains looked especially nice and the coffee, eggs, sausage, and biscuits couldn't have tasted better. Life in the country is good.

We are in "lightly rural" Bristol. We are in the country, but only about 3 miles from the city limits (on the southeast side).

It's springtime . . . I think the cows are all nesting during this time of year.
