Road trip through Tennessee- looking for distilleries to visit (Memphis: appointed, buying)

We will be going on a road trip through Tennessee (from Trimble to Jackson to Memphis) later this year. I've found most of the tourist attractions we want to hit up, including the distillery in Trimble and the winery (and hopefully the distillery) in Jackson. I'm hoping some locals may know of some off our route that they can recommend. If there is a cool winery or brewery you would also suggest that's roughly along that route, please let me know as well. The trip is mostly for our daughter . . . but my husband would very much enjoy visiting some distilleries!!

Unfortunately, most of the distilleries are in middle and east TN.

However, I did find this moonshine distillery in Dyersburg:

Thank you! It sucks we don't have more time - it seems like Nashville/Knoxville would be a couple of days worth of visiting distilleries alone! I'll be checking out full throttle. I also found a Samuel T. Bryant distillery by century farm (We stopped by Century Farm last year on our road trip to DC and I loved their wines so much we planned this trip around hitting them up again!)

Yep, you're kind of in the wrong end of TN there, but if you could squeeze and extra day into your trip, you can catch the major distilleries in a single day. Jack Daniel is in Lynchburg, George Dickel in Normandy, and Pritchards just outside Fayetteville. Only like 35 miles from end to end with Jack in the middle.

You'll just need to come back for a longer stay. In addition to the usual ones, here are some you might not have heard of.

We took the Popcorn Sutton tour and it was well worth the road trip.

We ended up going to Sloonshine in Trimble (quite good - we bought a lot of stuff from there and were super disappointed they were sold out of their berry Moonshine - it was amazingly good).

We went to Century Farm Winery again and we hit up Crown Winery, and ended up loving it. We bought a case from both of them. We also hit several of the breweries in Memphis and ended up buying a few beers.

We also hit up Samuel T. Bryant Distilling down the road from Century Farm. He has only been open for a month, and I have to tell you . . . his stuff was phenomenal. He was sold out of several spirits we would have gladly bought, and we are already tentatively planning a weekend return trip (even with a 9-hour one-way drive - Samuel T. Bryant is worth it!). Actually, the only negative to visiting Sameul T. Bryant was that we compared all other places to his stuff . . . and found them lacking. If we lived closer I have a feeling we'd be there all the time.

We will definitely do another trip and make sure to hit some of the other suggestions as well as western Tennessee and Kentucky!
