Overton, Boy saves grandfather from charging bull.
OVERTON COUNTY -- Twelve-year-old Cole Presley is being called a hero after saving his grandfather's life on a farm between Rickman and Livingston last Friday afternoon.
The boy's quick thinking kept an angry bull from goring Aubrey Maurice Presley, 75, to death in a field where Presley had gone to tend to cattle, according to Overton County Sheriff W.B. Melton.

Great story of a young boy's courage and love!
What an amazing story, John! It gave me goosebumps!
How proud and thankful that grandfather must be for his little grandson. It is amazing for someone so young to demonstrate the courage of a man.
Cole's parents have sure done something right with their son. And, Cole sure must love his Grandpa!
Thanks, John, for bringing that to us.

Great story!
You know you're in Tennessee when your 12 year old grandson is already an experienced enough driver to even think of jumping into the truck! Much less having the skill to push the bull away!
That's awesome!

Neat story!! Thanks, John! There are many good things to be said about being raised on a farm....I think this young man personifies the good.
P.S. Let's keep Phyll away from this post.... she will be terrified of cows for sure if she reads this!!

WOW! What a story and great kid! I also have to hand it to grandpa who doesn't want the bull put down. A true farmer. But I bet the "I'll get rid of it" statement means that ol bull will be in the freezer soon and that farmer and his family will great satisfaction with those steaks and burgers. " Hurt me will ya?" As they munch into dinner.

my guess is many kids would act on instinct and run in to save the grandfather------thus the loss of 2 would have been the result.
very smart thinking indeed.
As my dad told me when I was a little kid------"the only bull you can trust is the one hanging in a butcher shop"
