Default Rogersville

I have recently found several very interesting pieces of property in Rogersville. I googled the town and it has a very "Norman Rockwell" look that I really like. Can anyone fill me in a little better?

I don't care about political affiliations, I keep to myself on those opinions.

Are the people friendly; is it a good place for a horse person; are there nice restaurants (not Shoney's or Pizza Hut) nearby; is there a feed store in town and how far to a chain "mart" store or chain grocery.

Do you get labeled with a big Jezebel if you don't a church right away?

Thanks.

Thumbs up Rogersville

Bought property in Rogersville last year and will be building next year. Very nice town. Super Walmart, food lion (i think), Hospital, CVS drugstore, Holiday Inn Express, etc... large horse farm on speedwell (i know about it because its by our property)
have been there multiple times and everyone have been nothing but nice and polite. Can't wait to move!

hjlacey: Thanks so much for your reply. I have contacted my realtor in TN to get more info on the parcels we are interested in. We will be in the area just after Christmas and really want to make a purchase on this trip.

We have been looking at east TN for several years now and have narrowed our search to Greene County and the slightly surrounding areas.

Finding horse property in a horse friendly area is our biggest priority.

Thanks again.

Howdy J.R.
My folks live in Rogersville and love it! I am there quite a bit. It is a small town but there are several horse loving areas. As hjlacey said there are the few main stores and necessities for every day stuff. There is also a large farm store called the "Co-op" it has all your farm needs including medicines and such for horses. If there is anything else you need and can't find in town, as it is limited as far as restaurants/stores, Kingsport is about a 40 minute drive east.
Hope that helps!

Thanks a lot MBMouse

I think we may have finally found our place in east TN

Wish us luck. I just hope everything isn't sold before we get there. That is usually the case

Thanks again.
