Default Springfield, TN Golf Course

Retired couple looking to relocate to TN and perhaps a golf course lot in Springfield. Can anyone tell me about "The Legacy?" I find several properties for sale, but when I map them out, they appear to be on the Springfield Country Club property (according to Google maps). And even more confusing....the official website of Springfield has a link to "The Golf Course" (which is a direct link to The Legacy Golf Course) and no mention is made of Springfield Country Club.

Is this a growing area? Niche shops, restaurants, etc.? The other option we are looking at is Franklin. We love the downtown area of Franklin but it seems to be getting a little overcrowded in the housing market.

Thanks in advance for any/all help!

Default Springfield Tennessee Golf Course

I live at the Legacy in Springfield, it's a great golf course and we enjoy the town and surrounding area. There are mens, womens and couples casual tournaments/get togethers during the Spring, Summer and Fall at the Legacy that can help you get to know the locals. The course is owned by the city and managed by Billy Casper golf. They do a great job with the course and keep the pricing very reasonable.
The Springfield Country Club no longer exists. I understand one of the owners passed away a few years ago and it was sold for development.
Springfield is a small but slowly growing quiet town. I'm a real estate agent let me knolw if i can help.
