Cheapest here in my part of Maine is $3.21. Diesel is over $4. Alot of truckers here going out of business because of the costs. We've already earmarked that added tax check from the Feds as gas money for our move.

Smart thinking, AlisonL. We have already figured out, or so we thought, what it would cost us to move our belongings to TN. But, considering the gas prices, when the time drawers closer we will have to refigure!

Might have to sell the last kid still at home! Any takers? He doesn't eat much (buys his own fast food), but sure waste water with long showers.

Is he a hard worker and a good shot? We have a lot of fast food here, if his aim is good.

Wow what a wide range between reg gas and diesel in different pts of the USA. Here in FL both are still under $4.....reg around $3.40 and Diesel up in nearing the $3.90's. (50 cent difference) Yet you can drive 30 minutes away and get reg gas for $3.25. I think FL towns have a huge gas tax....only thing I can think of.

Florida gas prices get lower the closer you are to the Georgia border.

It was interesting watching the price of fuel as we left Key West headed to Knoxville.

Lower Keys....$3.67/gallon for regular
Middle Keys....$3.39/gallon for regular
Upper Keys.....$3.29/gallon for regular

It continually dropped until we reach Columbia, SC where we found the lowest prices on the entire route......$3.03 or $3.05/gallon for regular

Then it gradually edged upward till we reached Knoxville. We filled up this morning for $3.13/gallon for regular

Other folks were complaining, but we are thrilled........$3.13 is WAY BETTER than $3.67!!!!

If so, Welcome! Hope your trip wasn't too exhausting.
