I took a trip from Minnesota to Alabama the first week in November.
We took the long way down (I-75 down from Cincinati thru Ky , Tn,
The average price was $3.04 and I only saw gas below $3 once, and that was for just one day in Alabama.

Yes, gas has gone up, but we fail to realize that it also dropped since the first part of November til recently.

We also fail to realize people are getting filthy rich off our gas purchases. If the 298 million Americans who aren't rich revolted......

Ah, empty threat. I forgot, we're apathetic.

Angry Over halfway to $4.00 this week

Gas is up to $3.57 down here in the Keys.....up from only $3.16 two weeks ago

Of course it had to go up, just as we are preparing to make an 1100 mile trip with TWO CARS as we move from the Keys to East TN!!!!! I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that maybe it'll drop a little between now and the last week in March!!!

$3.25 here in my part of Maine. It went up 19 cents in 4 days. Thank goodness we have a small car that gets good milage. I shudder to think what its going to cost us to move....but it will be worth every penny.

That's about how it did to us in the Houston (TX) area too. Good grief. I swear I saw it jump at one station over the weekend 3 times in one day!

They jacked up prices the day of the refinery fire. How convenient. Gouging, but they get away with it. If we complain, they hold hearings in Washington, and nothing happens after that. It just looks like they care about our plight.

Puh-lease.

When we moved to Tennessee, it was just after Katrina and Rita, so they jacked up the gas prices to historical levels. We barely had any cash in out pocket, and had to bring two vehicles and a trailer worth of about 8 tons of tools. And people wonder why we left most of the furniture behind.

Paid $3.19 here in Pembroke Pines Fl., Cheapest I have seen in this area.
Seems the government never mentions dropping some of the federal and state
taxes that are added on to each gallon. It would help us all out, but Nooooo!
I remember as a kid I saw those taxes posted at the stations. Not any more.
Not for a long while.
Now Only if my cats would get jobs it may help out.
