The Prius isn't getting near that 60mpg.They are suppose to change the epa rating on it,as they addmitted it was wrong. The Prius owners I've talked to say around 40mpg.

I've noticed gas around Pickett,Overton, and Clay counties is slower than Ohio to raise it and also slower to lower it.Sometimes it's three days different.

Today at my place in Ohio,it's 3.45 for gas. Diesel is 4.24.

The EPA has changed the way the it estimates MPG on all vehicles. The tests lower MPG estimates for most vehicles.

It's about $3.25 a gallon around here.

Yes I knew that, but they investigated the Prius a few years ago and found that it didn't get near what Toyota was stating.

Gas just went to 3.45 in Ohio today,so that 3.25 might be a bargain. I was watching the commodities market and wholesale gas just hit a new record of 2.96. You can usually add another .50-.60 to that to get the soon to be pump price.

This is totally ridiculous. I'd really like to know just *who* is behind this nonsense. It's certainly not your normal supply vs. demand curve at work here. Are hedge funds/speculators responsible??

We are circling around the $3.50 down here near Daytona Beach. GESH!!! Been wanting to look at the SATURN HYBRID - heard they save 20% (25-35 mpg) but said a new hybrid (you can choose how much "hybrid savings you want for the price"...) coming out with be 30% savings. Just saw that on TV (MOTORTREND show). Hmmm.

Not sure if this was posted - I did a search on this thread and it showed nothing but this site is advertised all the time on tv down here GasBuddy.com - Find Low Gas Prices in the USA and Canada
Check out your area prices......not all are listed - some weeks they are and some not, (have local checkers that go out and price) but it is interesting esp if you travel.

Wholesale gas just hit 2.99 and crude oil 116.70,these are new record highs. Reg gas at the pump will average in our area 3.50-3.60 a gal soon.

$3.49 a gallon here. Went up 10 cents overnight. This is stupid. There's no need for it. We may have to take out a loan just to be able to pay for gas to move!
