Default Gas Has Gone Way Up

For the first time since I have been living in TN, I paid over $3 for gas. Yesterday, I paid $3.06 and saw gas going for $3.11 further east of me. The time before that, I paid $2.99 a the pumps so this was a pretty big jump. Just don't want visitors to be shocked after telling them how cheap gas was here.

I'm surprised to hear that gas is costing that much in Tennessee. I paid $3.09 per gallon yesterday at Costco in Citrus Heights, California yesterday.

To me, That's cheap. I live in Northern Wisconsin and we have been over $3 per gal now for over a year.
Currently up here it is $3.30 and going up.
Not to mention today is the first day we have been above 32 deg. since last November.

Yeah, I think prices have gone up everywhere. Part of it is due to the price of crude going over $100 a barrel, and part due to the refinery fire in Texas (makes an excellent excuse to raise prices at least).

The sad thing is gas could be dropped to a $2.00 a gallon and the top dogs would still make tons of money. It is nothing but greed. I wish everyone in the USA would stop buying gas for an entire week. Everyone at once. I bet they would lower gas quite a bit.

Two days ago it was 3.159 in the Poconos; today it is 3.367 in the Catskills (7 miles apart).

I thought it would be less down your way, but it is certainly too high anywhere.
