OMG please dont let TN turn into another grouchy old person area. Whats next a bagel shop on every corner?

A restrictive community is the beginning of the end. Ask any long time Floridian.

I live in florida and I live in a 55 plus community and its very nice.. I was originally born in Tenn. but moved to Florida at 18. I would move to Tenn. in a heartbeat if there were any 55 plus communities there under $150,000. Here I can live in a gated community for less than that, landscaped and manicured. I don't have to be bothered with children, dogs running loose, can walk at night without being mugged and no boom boxes.

Check out Fairfield Glade 55+ Community near Crossville. It's attached to a huge Fairfield Resort. Check out MLS662237.
The Official Fairfield Glade Website. The Premier Tennessee Retirement Community on the Cumberland Plateau, next to Crossville, TN.
Lake Tansi is another age-restricted community near there.

Their are a number of 55+ HOA / POA near Knoxville as I understand it......
Then as in other post Lake Tansi... POA and from driving around last autumn theirs these little enclaves of 5-6-8 streets both in Lake Tansi & Fair Field Glade ( FFG ) I was told of one spot which I never found off of Peavine Road FFG all most out of FFG theirs a cross street, Westchester... you meander down that street a couple miles till you cross a earthen damn near Dorchester Country Club... some where their is Lancashire Street... their is a place called Preston Woods. As I understand theirs several dozen double wide very upscale on over sized lots with 2 car garages ( not car ports). I don't know if it's a HOA or what....
Then theirs a number of double wides in the so called country off 127 North of I-40 near Woody on the NW side of Crossville.. about 6-8 miles out then left on Plateau RD. and 2-3 miles down the black top past several potato farms... just my cup of tea !! serious their sitting on from my understanding 1-6 acres... Just beautiful.... it's country some folks say red neck.. It's not!!! Just country folk wanting to be left alone... have a couple chickens ~ ducks. sit on the back porch in the rock-in chair and enjoy life...and having a cold one

It has been a frustrating journey trying to find 55 + rental units. I also end up in at "assisted living etc ". Even the "apartment guide" for ther area does not list "adult etc" communites where as the Chattanooga guide has several.
