Default Verizon moving Tampa Reps to Tenn.

I am trying to get a jump on this relocation and try to get housing secured long before we actually have to move.

With that being said, are there local apartment finder companies that help locate what potential tenants are looking for?

Are their net listings of homes for rent locally?

What part should a single male w/ no kids look to move to?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

I believe they are sending a large group of people down to Tampa to better talk to us(ie..chamber of commerce, realtor's, school officials...etc., but I'd like to get info from real people not trying to sell me on any one thing.

Do they have any idea on the possible locations for you? Is it for a call center or sales?

The new call center is currently being built in the Franklin area. I've not seen it but do plan to take a 2 day trip to check the area out as well as the work facilities.

Trying to get on top of this potential move LONG in advance so all I have to do, if I do decide to take the relocation, is simply hop on a plane and move in.

The call center will house Corporate Employees (ie....Customer Service and Financial Service and their supporting departments(not retail sales (maybe tele-sales, but not sure)). This much, as of today, is for sure.

The new facility is being built in the Cool Springs area, near the Legends Country Club. It's actually closer to Brentwood than Franklin.

I don't think they will start to post until after May. As this is when they will start to get final notices from us in Tampa as to whether or not we are wanting to relocate.

Just trying to find local Apartments around the area. Somebody mind sending me a local apartment guide?

Will gladly reimburse via paypal

I'd be glad to (no charge). I think there's two or three of those things published. I'll have to check to make sure the one I see in the grocery stores around my area also includes the Franklin and Cool Springs area (they probably do; I'm just not sure). I'll pick up a couple of them and if I think they'd be of help to you I'll send you a Direct Message to get your address.

Thank you very much. I will send msg w/ my complete address.

I am really trying to do what I can more so for those co workers of mine who are married/kids/homes.

The market here in the Tampa Bay area is just horrible and will continue to be so for another 1 1/2 years, imo.

So I'd like to be proactive and see if I can get any info, even fly up there, as I have arranged a flight today. I am single and have no kids, so I should at least try to help out those not as flexible (due to their situations) and do some early scouting, if you will.

Hi, We just sold our home in Tampa--at a loss of course! Be sure to take a Xanax before you look at home and apt pricing. Cost of living is really high around here! I would think the majority of Verizon workers can't afford the move. Best of luck though
