There are going to be a lot of exhibitors from the entire SE east at that FL show, Tinman. How about if you go as our official ambassador and gather up all the pamplets you can carry? You can be our resource manager!!

Wish I could go. It sounds like everything you would want to know about will be demonstrated.

Thanks, Tinman.

I went last year and was very disappointed. Seems that about 70% of the vendors / distributors what too sell and build you a log or timber frame home that is 100,000 square feet with 90 bed room and 38 bathrooms and all that bling. And for me all I want is a 1000-1200 square with 2 bed room - 2 bath simple plan "NO BLING" they would just walk away and quit talking with you. Most log home people are now doing, "THE KIT" and giving you a list of subs they have worked with in the area, Now it's your turn too coordinate every one plus pull permits and pay for stamps on the documents and pay the bank on your draw. No thanks I want " Turn Key" only. Give me price a time line and a guarantee.......

Wink That is a bookmark!!

Fantastic, Grizzly. Thanks so much for that link. If we decide to go that route, we will downsize to compensate for the additional building cost.

But, I think down-sizing with such an open plan is very doable and reasonable.

Very nice home!
