Smile Selling Real Estate In Eastern TN

Is there any real estate agents on this forum? I'm an Ohio real estate agent looking to move to Eastern TN (Marysville/Knoxville), and hoping to get an insight to the real estate market. Booming? Soft? What?

I appreciate any feedback!

Thanks!

I welcome any and all replies, from anyone on this forum. Sellers & Buyers know the market as well ~ :-)

Just would like a "general" idea. I certainly can see from reading the posts, there are many relocations.

Thanks!

From what I have read recently, the area is going a little soft, but it isn't slowing as much as other areas (ones where the bubble is bursting supposedly).

Where do you live? What is the place like? Hoping to make my move in 2007 ~ Want to go after the first of the year and check things out, then come back to Ohio and sell my place.

Default Real Estate is good

I am a Realtor in Dandridge; we are on Douglas Lake, and I can tell you that the market is good - not great - but good. Our prices didn't increase too much, so the correction in other states just slowed the purchasing by movers from other states that are having a buyer's market. This year was a slow year compared to the previous few years, but we have already started to see an increase toward the end of the year.

I hope that your move goes smoothly, and if there is anything I can do to help you, please feel free to let me know.

Scott Compton

I am not a Realtor either, but in the industry (mortgages) and I can tell you that there are A LOT of Realtors in TN. At least here in East TN anyway. I don't know why but lots of folks have there license and are affilitated with a broker but have other jobs as well. As Scott said, the market is pritty stable here, regular growth, don't expect a huge change in that, just a slow steady increase of value, about 5%to 7% a year is the norm.
