We are planning to move to Adamsville in May. One of the final preparations is to purchase homeowners insurance. To my dismay I find several companies deny me coverage because of my two rescue dogs that are pit mixes. As a I'm researching ordinances I find that Adamsville has several ordinances against, what they call vicious dogs. Pits and Staffies included. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if these ordinances are also put into effect where we will be moving. We are not in corporate limits.....can I bring my dogs? This scares me a bit since there is no way I will leave my dogs behind.

Its my understanding BSL are city ordinances so if you are not withing the corporate limits the restrictions should not apply to you. I would call the city to be sure.
I had a difficult finding home owners when I had Rottweilers but eventually found an agent who would cover us. Keep looking.

If you're going to be in an unincorporated area, that City regulation will not apply to you. You might want to call the McNairy County mayor's office for info on any county-wide regulations. (In most places, you would call the county planning or codes departments; however, it does not appear that McNairy County has a planning or codes department.)

their quote was 2000 per year unless we get car insurance as well than the premium goes to 1400. We only pay 800 in jersey and Jersey is expensive with everything.

Is that because of the dogs?
Still sounds high unless you have a very expensive house. I would shop around a little more.
