If those are the only choices, Chattanooga is the one. There are some nice places outside of the city to live. Probably within the city also, I just don't know about those. Good luck on your move.

Hey there, I live in the Nashville TN area. I would stay out of Memphis for sure and many would agree. I lived there several years ago and the crime has gotten bad. Jackson is not far from Memphis, it is a smaller area. My mother in law went down there for a weekend and she got sick they had to end up transporting her here to Nashville because the hospital in Jackson was not equiped to handle her needs. So just a thought. Chattanooga I have not heard too many things about so it might be you best option.
