Question Our hearts are in East TN....now we need a home!!

My husband and I have been trying desperately to find a home in East Tennessee.(where our hearts are already) We both have credit scars from previous marriages so we are hoping to find a lease option or rent to own. We would like to have 2 or more acres with the home....trees, trees, trees a plus. With his job, the only real area requirement is that it must be within 50 miles of the border of Knoxville. Anyone with any helpful words.....please speak....

I wish you luck finding your new home. My daughter & I came down to Sweetwater with cash for a down pymt, no jobs, and icky credit. I was going to allow ourselves 2 weeks max to find a house, then we would have to go back to MI with our tails tucked between our legs. As it was, the loan officer that we talked to was EXTREMELY helpful, took our newspapers we were carting around and showed us the kind of ads to look for (owner financed) because we were looking for a rent to own (most landlords frown on a lot of dogs-we have huskies). The gentleman she hooked us up with buys up properties, fixes them up, then turns around and sells them on a land contract. We will be moving into a 3BR-1 1/2 bath-car port-back deck-and over an acre of land with lots of trees but a huge spot for my garden. And I can see the mountains from my back deck! You can also go online to the county newspaper (which I also did) and check the classifieds. Hope this helps.
