Hey south Florida! We're from southwest Florida. I spent my last summer having converstions like this:
Native Tennessean: "Boy, is it hot today!"
Me: "It's not too bad."
NT: "Are you kidding? It's brutal today!"
Me: "It's not too bad."
Or they hear my northern accent and...
NT: "I bet you aren't use to these kind of summers!"
Me: "Actually, I'm from southwest Florida."
Native Tennesseans walks away confused.
In other words, Tennessee summers are a walk in the park compared to south Florida. We don't get much snow. Maybe a couple of inches a year, and that melts in a few hours.
