The bear pic was taken near Townsend, TN and the deer was taken closer to Telico Plains. The butterfly was taken at the springs on my property. The bear picture is a bit washed out as I was at full zoom from about 500-600 meters away and digital cameras that are not SLR will tend to wash and ghost when zoomed that far.

For those wanting to move, visit or residing in the upper Cumberland area, there have been a growing number of black bear sightings. They believe that since they released a fair number in the Big South Fork that the population has done remarkably well, much to the chagrin of local ranchers and farmers.

Last year there were a few people I know that spotted bears. My aunt saw one on the far side of her pond off hwy 70 between Monterey and Cookeville. There was also on hit by a car on I40 near a Cookeville exit.
