Driving through a Maryville subdivision today spotted these turtles (I used my 200mm lens but this is the best I could do, also used a polarizing filter; no photoshop):

I work at MetroCenter, which is a large office park just northwest of downtown Nashville. There's a small lake there which is full of turtles (and carp). You can actually sit there and feed the turtles. They'll come right up to you. Some of them are as large as dinner plates.

Norris Dam State Park
I haven't seen any turtles since being here. These photos were all taken in Norris on Sunday. I don't know the names of the flowers but they were all growing wild. I'll tell you where before each pic.
These first set of pics were taken in Norris Dam State Park when it was overcast early in the morning. That's an American Robin and an Eastern Bluebird on the green fence neark the park's pool.

Norris Marina
These pics were taken in and around Norris Marina. I think one of the yellow flower photos are of daffodils. Don't know what the other yellow flower is. They were not in the marina itself but on the hill above it.

Museum of Appalachia
This first bird spotted at the Museum of Appalachia is a European Starling. The second is a Blue Jay. I don't know what he has in his mouth. The last is a cabin on the grounds.

Great photos, Laura, but that's not a robin in your first set.
The Jay just looks like he's got a grass stem to buy a nest with.

Great photos Laura. Alleycat is right, that is not a robin...its a female bluebird. Bluejay is definitely gathering nesting materials.
Keep these great photos coming, as I definitely enjoy them.
