Default Relocating and have no clue where to live

I am a 32 year old, single male and I am being relocated to cover a sales position that covers Nashville, Memphis and northern AL. Most of the locations are in AL and Memphis has more locations than Nashville. So from a business perspective northern AL might sound logical but I need a place that would have singles and a lot to do. I don't see that happening in Northern AL. I am from Charlotte and live in Columbia SC now. So my question to you guys is where should I live? I have heard/read a lot of negative things about Memphis but I just do not know what to do. I appreciate any help that you guys can offer. Thanks

What's your back ground-Do you have a degree- are you married - do you have children or plan getting married. Need to sit down with a yellow legal pad and answer what your looking for. Are you outdoors person. Make a check list then start researching that area of TN. I'm not trying to sound smart it's a very daunting task. Find that area now time for a road trip. Talk to the locals, check out the area. It's like trying on shoes or a new coat. It just has to fit and feel right for "you"...... Happy hunting...... Tinman
