Hi!
We are a young family looking to get out Illinois (who wouldn’t want to leave? ). We have 2 kids who are 4 and 1. My husband and I both enjoy being outside running and mountain biking. I also enjoy gardening. We are planning to visit for a week over thanksgiving and are looking for advice. Looking for areas with good schools, a wonderful sense of community, safety, and access to outdoor activities. My initial thought it to check out Hendersonville all the way down to Chattanooga and a little bit East is there. My husband can work from home so that’s not an issue. Any input on areas to consider would be so greatly appreciated! Oh, and is the entire state bad for allergies? Thank you!

Check out Cookeville:
  • definite, wonderful sense of community
  • excellent schools
  • family-friendly (children's museum, children's library, children's theater)
  • 100 waterfalls and 1,200 miles of shoreline within 40 minutes of town
  • mountain biking, kayaking, boating, fishing, hiking galore
  • low cost of living
  • gigabit internet
