In Tennessee!?!!!!!!!!!
Only everywhere. I used to travel through Tennessee on a monthly basis and one of the things that I enjoyed the most was find great places to eat. I either have a supernatural ability to pick great places or the vast majority of eating establishments are pretty darn good there. Good customer service is not a rarity as it is elsewhere. Avoid touristy establishments though.

I'm not sure where in Tennessee you're looking, but if you're ever in Nashville, RUN (don't walk) to Arnold's Country Kitchen on 8th Avenue South just a few blocks south of downtown. Jack Arnold (the owner) is a grizzly man who makes everything from scratch. And being a good Catholic, on Fridays fish is the only meat served. At least that's how it used to be back when I used to go there regularly (his daughter was a friend of mine). It's not opened for supper, and I don't think it's opened on weekends, either.

If we are including chain establishments then Shoney's ROCKS! They can't be beat, especially the fried okra in the buffet
