Aha! I did not know this, and do not have a kilt. I am kiltless.

I have a lot of Scotch Irish as well; many folks in this part of the country have that heritage. My McKenzie family members used to always go to this, and similar festivals, and enjoyed them tremendously. I just talked with a Mackenzie relative in Scotland a few days ago. Sounds like fun.

Tinman,
Silly question for anyone who has the answer to this burning question-
Is it appropriate to wear something under a kilt or nothing?

Pam, You are cracking me up! Does the answer dictate whether you are going to attend or not? Are they forecasting windy conditions that day? Traditionally the answer has been "nothing"; however, if it is a wee bit nippy I would think that "something" would be advised.

SMG,
No, the answer doesn't dictate if I'll attend. But I have always wondered and wondered about cold wintery winds finding their way under the kilt. I always thought the answer was "something" because cold makes things shrink!

These festivals are mostly held during warmer months for a reason I guess.
Weird thing, I actually got a package from Ireland in today's mail! How crazy is the timing on that?!?!? I'm not a stamp collector but these are neat, I may keep them.
