I dont think most Americans descended from Ulster protestants would understand that your post, would be insulting to the Ulster protestants of today living in Ulster.

The vast majority today claim to be British, not Irish.
Also, the Vast majority dont feel Irish.

I come from Irish Protestant and Roman Catholic ancestors. Sorry to get your knickers in a bunch.

You've wandered into an American thread where people don't make much of such things, although this area is populated mostly with Scotch-Irish Protestants. But it is a "happy" thread and not meant to be political in nature.
