CAUTION...hidden fees in TANSI
If you are considering buying property in Lake Tansi, please beware that just by owning property there you will be tied to paying annual maintenance fees of at least $120 per lot per year even if you are not members of the POA. This is in addition to the property tax you pay to the county. It's hidden in the contract, and will become part of your deed, and the Lake Tansi POA will have rights to deed even if your home is paid off. Very shady subdivision.

My wife and I just bought property at Lake Tansi Village on Lake Mohawk and will be visiting there for the second time this July. We believe it will be a great place with low taxes to retire in a few years.

When you get their take the time to drive Cherokee Trail around Lake Tansi. It takes less than a hour and some beautiful scenery. You also have to travel down 101 Lanta Road.... to RT 30 and Falls Creek Falls about a hours drive... from Lake Tansi  Some beautiful places on the Cumberland Plateau to explore. |

Actually, I did drive arround the main lake on Cherokee Tr and it is a nice drive. Didn't have time to go to Falls creek this trip, but will later.

Just head down 101...Lantana... hang a right on 30 look for Park Road about 40 min. Make sure when you go into the park you get your bearings and as soon as your in the park get a map.. it's very big ! Theirs ? 4-5 entrances. So if you go out the wrong one you could have a hair pulling day trying to figure out where the heck you are??  Take a camera .. |
