Jackson Tennessee
Jackson is a wonderful city.
I was born and raised here and love it. I have lived in other areas for short times and couldn't wait to return to Jackson.
Why do you hate it so much?

I have to answer no on this one, we already have two sub forums for Nashville and Memphis.

But those are big cities - Nashville and Memphis - and Jackson has a totally different feel. Anyway, just 2c from a future Jackson area resident.

I don't think that Jackson's popularity is as high as some of the other areas of Tennessee. I did make a suggestion a couple of months back that they consider the Cookeville/Crossville area for a sub-forum due to the sheer number of posts and inquiries generated from the Upper Cumberland area. Still waiting to see...

You're so right. According to city-data, as of today Jackson has been mentioned 1,212 times in these forums. Cookeville has been mentioned 4,235 times, and Crossville has been mentioned 1,977 times. I cannot imagine why Jackson should have its own forum.

Are you sure? I'm not questioning your research; just possibly questioning how well the search function works. I'm surprised that Jackson is even that close to Cookeville as far as questions and comments are concerned. Just going by memory, there seems to be a question about Jackson maybe once a month, while the questions about Cookeville are weekly, and sometimes daily.
In any event, I'm pretty sure having a separate Jackson forum is a dead issue anyway.
What we need here is an Ashland City sub-forum! ;-) Okay, well, maybe not.

I think that this forum is close to becoming a reality.

I think a combined Cookeville/Crossville/Upper Cumberland forum is warranted due to the large number of postings about these towns. Cookeville serves as a hub for about an 8 county area midway between Nashville and Knoxville. I wouldn't label it just Upper Cumberland, however, as many from outside the area wouldn't know what that encompasses.
As for Jackson, I don't see the traffic to warrant it.
