Hi Robbied,
From Crossville, you can take I-40 west/northwest toward Cookeville. Take the Plateau Road exit. Take Plateau Road to US 70N. Turn right onto US 70N. Drive through the small town of Mayland and continue on. You can enter Cumberland Cove by turning left onto Cumberland Cove Road, or left on E. Cove Road, or left on left on Belmont Road.
Another option is to take US 70N all the way from Crossville. The Cumberland Cove Property Owner's Association office is at 16939 Hwy. 70N.
Cumberland Cove is not gated. You can drive right in. Be prepared to do some driving as Cumberland Cove is an 8,000 acre development. You might consider asking for a map at the Cumberland Cove Property Owners Association office. The lots on the Putnam County side of Cumberland Cove tend to be larger than on the Cumberland County side.
My wife and I bought a 4 acre lot in Cumberland Cove on Sawmill Road last August. We found Cumberland Cove to be beautiful. The larger lots offer a lot of privacy. The majority of the property owners in the Cove have voted overwhelmingly to have water lines brought into the Cove. Cumberland Cove is contracting with the City of Crossville to provide water. At the present time, the City of Crossville is trying to get a grant that will cover part of the cost of extending water lines. I'm not sure how long this will take, but I'd expect water lines to be completely installed within the next 2 to 4 years.
The Cumberland Cove Property Owners Association has a website. If you do an internet search, for Cumberland Cove, Monterey, TN, you will find it.
I hope this helps.

I tried to rep my buddies... but it said I need
to spread it around. I would give you all a nice hug if you were here.
I dont want to leave the area anyway. I might be drooling that we bought were we did but we are building yet!! I just want to familiarize myself with it all. I know when the lots were first opening up at Cumb Cove they were advertising on TV and I thought it was magnificent.
Thanks so much for your help...and
Grizzly, thanks for mentioning "our" Bears.
Now let's spread a little of that enthusiasm to our Cubbies..
and speaking of BB, off topic here, how about that No hitter last night for Lester!!! FANTASTIC after all he has been through too.

Be careful about Cumberland Lakes. While the development is beautiful, it's right next door to a huge sand quarry that's about to open. People in Cumberland Lakes aren't very happy about it, to say the least. Some of them claim they were not informed when they bought their property that a noisy quarry was going to open right next door.
