If I remember correctly from when I left the south more than 32 years ago, fireflies appeared during the spring and summer months. Am I correct?

I would love to see fireflies again, but I guess they will be gone by the time I visit Tennessee again in the fall.

Yes, fireflies show up mostly in the warmer months, from about late May to early September.

I seen fireflies here in Sullivan Co. (northeast TN) as early as April when we had that very warm streak. Then they have recently re-appeared.

I'm going to miss them this year too.
But, this will be the last year that I won't get to see them...and that makes me very HAPPY!!!!!
