Question Cumberland Mountain State Park

I have noticed several post talking about the restaurant at Cumberland Mountain State Park in Crossville.
I just checked the web site and they have no menu just a general idea what's on the menu? Is this a sit down or buffet? What's the house special? Is it easy to find the place in the park?
Price?.......

Hi, Tinman. They have various specials on different days/nights. For instance Friday night might be a special seafood buffett, all you can eat 12.99 in the evening and I believe lunch is around 8.99. One night , Saturday I think is barbeque, Pork ribs and pulled pork, same prices. You get all the southern fixings, salad bar, and corn bread or biscuits. They have three or four different desserts to choose from which might be a fruit cobbler, a cake, banana pudding etc.

It is all you can eat. The services is fantastic. The surroundings are beautiful as it is placed for a view out over the water.

Go early enough to be able to walk around before or afterward in the many trails.
You can take your coffee out onto the attached patio afterward and sit and watch the water, geese etc. Really a delightful place.

There are cabins on the property if anyone wants to stay there. There is a campground , a pool, place to rent boats for rowing. I love that park.

OneKEighty is on a distinguished road
I have eaten at several of Tennessee's State Park restaurants (including the one at Fall Creek Falls), and I can say without hesitation that Cumberland Mountain's is far and away the best. As another poster said, they have different selections on the buffet on different days, all of which are very good, but the best time to visit is on Sunday afternoons. They always have at least three meats, roast beef, fried chicken, and the best cold sliced ham on the planet. The mashed potatos are awesome and the cole slaw is indescribable! They have several other vegetables available (green beans, corn, etc.) and a better-than-average salad bar too. Bannana pudding, pecan pie, and a couple of different cobblers are for desert, along with soft-serve ice cream. If you appreciate really good iced tea, you'll love theirs. Oh yeah, I almost forgot the rolls.... don't even get me started!

Thank you all so much for the information, it sounds wonderful! But...
what is the name of this yummy sounding place? Or is it just called "The Resturaunt @ Cumberland State Park"? Also, what about those rolls...please please tell us. Are they yeast rolls? I have a serious weekness for homemade breads...all kinds, I'm not picky!!! I am however picky about my iced tea, when you say 'really good iced tea' are you talking about southern sweet tea or regular unsweet tea? I know I am about to get yelled at for this but... I like plain ole unsweetened iced tea. Yes, I am a southerner, but never did like sugared drinks of any kind. Don't be too mad at me, okay?

Default Sweet and unsweet

They always do half and half for me. I dont like all sweet tea so they mix it half and half as I ask them to do.

After you drive into the park and cross the beautiful bridge, you see the building that the restaurant is in.

I will definitely want to try the buffet and explore the park when we visit this fall. Does anyone know if the restaurant is open year round? We'll be there October 27 to November 4.
