COOKEVILLE -- "People are running out of everything, and they don't even have gas enough to go to the store."

That's what Pat Maynard, one of the founders of the Stevens Street Baptist Church's large Care Center charity, said last week when asked about the effect of today's economy on the work the Care Center does.
