You might want to start by searching Columbia on the TN forum; I think you'll find a fair amount of useful info already posted.
Also, you say that you need some information; it would be helpful if you could give us some specifics about the type of info you're looking for (housing / apartments, schools, jobs, things to do.....?). Give us an idea and I'm sure you'll get some suggestions.
