Welcome and thank you both so much for writing in.

I do have another story but I just got a new computer, a Mac, and I have no idea how to do pictures. Hopefully I will figure it out by next week.

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

I admire anyone that can do what you've done. My husband and I would like to build like that someday, but we're a bit apprehensive about the possible costs. Maybe some day.

hello Mike and Mrs.Lisa
happy to see your story continues..
2 days before Christmas, my loving beautiful sweet grandma passed away. she was my mom, my best friend and i would have done and did all i could for her.
i had wanted to go see her the last 2 years but due to circumstances could never get away. she was laid to rest beside my grandpa, in the old family cemetary in SC, on my grandpas birthday.

i left the day after Christmas and drove there 900 miles. i did stop to sleep at a rest stop up in the smoky mountains because i was so upset i had forgot to fill up gas tank. next morning i got back on that road and called 911 to see where the nearest gas station was. they were so helpful and all was well.

i left 4 days after getting to SC, to come back. i was tired so i stopped at a rest stop on that mountain road to sleep. i was north of newport, down near cosby i think?

i have to say it was beautiful. i used to haul my young uns around the states to rough camp and would go through there. we stayed at the smoky mountains state park once and went to the pioneer village.

the biggest lessons i learned, was reminded of, is that life is too short to spend it not doing what ya love.

i am going to be looking for a little spot in some holler to have some peace.
maybe around that area. i'm a friendly folk and used to living off grid, don't bother no one and content with my own company. i do surely long for a good church with old gospel and where i might find something to do for service.

couldn't remember where yall were at, and the circumstances weren't good, otherwise i'd have asked to stop for a visit. see your still down in FL.
maybe next trip.

take care and i'm sure everyone looking forward to your next story updates.

Can UPS or FedEx get up your driveway? Just wondering how you handle getting things shipped to you. Thanks again for sharing your amazing journey with everyone. Truly awesome!
