Relocating To Franklin! (to rent, how much, buy)

Hi,
My husband and I are relocating to the Franklin area this summer and would like as much information as we can get! We will be looking for a place to rent before we buy and my husband was told there is a Luthier School there which he wishes to attend. Does anyone know how much snow falls there? How cold it gets and what is the average rain fall? We are from Sunny Florida where we barely get any cold weather at all. Today it was 81 degrees and sunny! We have thin blood! Also, how is the flooring industry up there? We have our own flooring installation company here and would be relocating that as well! Any info would be appreciated! Thank you!

I was wondering if you made the move to Franklin, TN? My husband and I are planning to relocate our family from Los Angeles, CA to Franklin, TN. We took a short trip there and loved it....of course, living there is not the same as a few days there. I met people from California that are happy they've made the move....please let me know your thoughts...also, if you made the move, my husband works in flooring installations and has been for over 22 years with the same company...how is the flooring installation (carpets) work there?
