Hi everyone-
How is the crime there? Are there any historic areas that have rentals that are in safe areas? Any "hip" areas? What city/cities do you recommend living in that are w/in a 30 min drive to this city? ![]() Thanks! |

I've lived in Union City all my life and I wouldn't recommed it to anyone. There is little historical sites around this city or county. The closest city, with things to do, as in shopping, restaurants is Dyersburg, TN. which is 30 minutes from here. If you are thinking of retirement and want a nice quiet, practically crime free area I'd say to take a look at Obion, TN. It's a very small, country town where you can sit, relax and see God's country.
I'm sure you might be wondering why I'm still here since I don't like it here and the answer to that is I have elderly parents here and I can't and won't leave them. Last edited by ladynascar88; 11-18-2008 at 07:12 PM.. Reason: adding info |
