Oak Ridge Photos
If anyone is interested in seeing photos taken in Oak Ridge, I've put some in a gallery that you are welcome to view as a slideshow. You do not have to sign in to view them. Click View Slideshow and then click Play.
Kodakgallery.com Sign in to Kodakgallery.com
The photos (taken between October 2006 and July 2008) include some streets, stores, apartment complexes, Rarity Ridge, the lake, parks, government buildings, birds, the public golf course, etc. It also includes a slew of people (kids and adults) photos taken at the Christmas parade, Christmas reception, Secret City Festivals (2) and the Street Painting Fair. Because there are so many photos taken at events, between the events photos, I put some buildings, parks, birds, streets, etc., photos to break the monotony. The photos are labeled so if you can't read the title under the photo, scroll up a bit.
You'll know you are near the end of the slideshow by the street painting fair photos. There are a lot of photos (around 400) so unless you are interested in Oak Ridge and its people, you may not want to dive in.
Some of you have seen some of these photos before. Only the 2 wind turbine photos weren't taken in Oak Ridge but you can see them from Oak Ridge.

Wow, thanks!
Laura,
You certainly are talented. What a great way for folks to 'see' a whole town. How about Seymour, or Dandridge?
Do you have any more?

Glad you like them. Norris is the only other place in Tennessee where I have a massive amount of photos but except for a handful, already posted in the Tennessee Photos thread, they are mostly nature and Museum of Appalachia event photos, not street/building photos.
Never been to Seymour, never been to downtown Knoxville, was to Dandridge once on a school trip. Except for the occasional Cades Cove trip, been to places mostly west, north and southwest since I moved here.

Wow Laura! Great job, I especially liked the Great Blue Heron, it could be a contest winner. I also liked being able to see all the people.

I was thinking when I looked at them the other day, especially the Christmas photos, that people could see that there are scout troops, a marching band and a community band, animal groups, dance groups, some type of horse riding, all kinds of churches, etc., in town if they or their kids were interested.
I didn't know anything about photography when I took most of these photos and there are 4 different cameras involved, too, so the quality could be better. Still, if people are looking to move here, it does give them some idea about Oak Ridge to have the photos all in one place.
Glad you liked them.

Thanks. You know what I got a kick out of when I looked at them again. Last December, gasoline here was $2.99 (you can see the sign in the Christmas Parade photos). Seven months later - $3.97.
