OK...we were going to ahve breakfast at Dippsy Doodle but it wasn't where the Garmin said it was. Later in the day we happened to find it closer to Baster...so we may go there in the morning. Instead, we went to Ralph's again More twists, along with gravy and biscuits. Lunch was at the Country Porch in Muddy Pond. Dinner was at Spankies. All were excellent.

We also went to the Putnam County Fair this evening...and we're of to Burgess Falls tomorrow (I'll post some photos).

So far I haven't found a single thing to dislike about this community - and a lot to like. Also saw four British cars while making the rounds today. Two MGTDs in Cookeville, an MGB in Sparta and a Spitfire between Sparta and Crossville. My MGB would be right at home here...

Sparkman is on a distinguished road
We were in Cookeville for awhile yesterday, also went to the Fair. Didn't stay real long though, it (fair) was smaller than I thought it would be. Got some updated real estate books for the area and headed back to Fairfield. We've been here since Monday & leave Saturday. Mostly just relaxing, swimming & golf.

Dipsy Doodle is no longer at 1442 W. Broad.....there is NOTHING at that address. It's farther west....2331 W. Broad...toward Baxter on the north side of the road. Funny thing is that the Yellow Pages listing still shows 1442, but the restaurant menu section of the same book has the correct address! Didn't get a chance to go there this trip....maybe next time. They're open breakfast, lunch & dinner ('til 8PM Mon-Thur; 9Pm Fri-Sat; closed Sun).

We went to the fair too! It was very small...but that's what I expected. We did enjoy watching the little kids racing dirt bikes
