ok,i am looking for a town in eastern tn, for a family of 3 that will be growing soon,it needs to have a population of at least 2500 people close to a larger town but also has the country charm to it, preferably a town with some parks, and some things for grown ups and children to do like sports and after school things this is all i can think of at the moment, also we would like to be in the mountains if possible so if you can give me a few examples of towns from the info i just gave it would be helpful thanks

I would suggest any of the smaller areas around the Tri-Cities, more specific, on the outskirts of either Johnson City or Kingsport. There are great schools, mountains and there are many parks and things to do. Close to the mountains. There are the Boys and Girls clubs, community sports programs, school sports. But you can live in an area that feels like country but 15 minutes or so to city life.
Hope that helps. |

It is Tri-Cities which is Johnson City, Kingsport and Bristol. Small towns/areas around it would be Fall Branch, Piney Flats, Gray, Colonial Heights, Rock Springs, Bluff City, Jonesborough, Chucky, Sulfer Springs, all of these are within a 20 minute or less drive to larger cities, but very "country".

R: If you ask about the S.E. Tri -state region of Tn, Ga, N.C, ,then Cleveland comes to mind. i would almost call small city now, rather than town, but everyone has own opinion. New roads here, summer close to Ocoee raft area.
. No real help if asking about N.E. Tri-state region. |
