I'm covered up with chiggers and wondering how many people have them to or had them in past?

Maybe twice in over 60 years. You learn not to play with Spanish moss quickly!

I got them once as a child in New Hampshire on a camping trip and once again about 15 years ago while in the mountains of Western NC.
Use clear nail polish and cover each mark, it smothers them and kills them which stops the itch. ( I know that article says it doesn't work, but I am proof that it does, so sorry, but due to personal experience, it does work.)
I know they are awful! I feel for ya.

Good article.

Having been raised in Missouri, I've had them more times than I care to remember. That itching drove me crazy.

I also remember putting nail polish on them.

GREAT article! I have had them several times but the worst I've seen was a hiking trip and all the fellas (6) came down with them in some very private areas lol I got them on my lower legs and waistband thank goodness! 2 of the guys worked together and there was a shower on the premisis. They alternated showers until the doc could see them and give each a shot lol These poor grown men taking cold showers while crying from the itch was something to remember. I would rather eat buzzard turds than get chiggars again lol

I think there real bad here in Cookeville Tennessee this summer then in the past summers. I will for sure try nail polish this time. I've been trying a stuff called Chiggerex plus but it's seams not to be working very well.
