Yes, many have an accent here. I went to a youth conference this past weekend. There were teens/adults from all over TN. I heard some of the most beautiful accents!
Yes, lots of celebrities from Titans to George Jones and everything in between.
The best HS? Best as in scores, small class size, grad rate, extracurriculars? Public? I don't know that there's a standout public school. They all seem to have their niche. Centennial is less crowded (at the moment), Independence and Ravenwood are just a couple/few years old, Franklin High has the IB program, Page's marching band dominates, etc.
As for stores/restaurants, there are so many. Could you be more specific? Chains, local, type of food, mall or stand-alone, etc.
