Default My Family

Not looking good for my family, they are in Jacksonville and Ocala, I have never seen such a fickle storm in my life, I know they are unpredictable but this is crazy what she's doing, she just wasn't happy unless she got all of Florida in one way or another. Tornadoes are a big threat right now not to mention the many inches of rain she is dumping on parts of Fl and will still dump as she circles and comes back.

Fay just loved the REALLY hot, steamy Everglades. She enjoyed Lake Okochobee, too.

Anyway, if anyone would like some great satellite pictures, here is the link:

Yes, it wasn't when it passed by here. But it dropped a lot of rain and was very windy. They say it is going to be a hurricane when it heads up your way. They think it is going to go into the Atlantic get to be a cat 1 and curve back west.

Currently stalled on top of me. They say it will just break apart in the next 24-36 hours. Any one traveling I-75 ~ I-10 ~ I-95 for the next several day all the way threw the week end should be advised of heavy wind and heavy rain and flooding. North of Orlando. From the Cape North on I-95 very low visibility heavy rain and flooding to Savanna and beyond.......

Melbourne so far has gotten 12+ inch of rain....... heavy flooding in the southern part of Brevard County and the Saint Johns River....

Hope you stay safe, Tinman, and all our FL buddies!!

We sure need the rain here in Southern TN, but don't want any tornados. Grass is so dry and dusty. Like Wordy said, i love a good storm, though. Got a nice little thunder storm couple of days ago, and i sat on the back porch swing and enjoyed the sound of it all. Didn't get near enough rain though.

They say now it won't hook back NW. Just stay about where it's at now,may creep up the coast too Dayton, and just fall apart over the next 24-36 hours. Just gobs of rain 12+ inches most places along the east coast.....

My dad is Melbourne. He's a minister at a nursing home and the residents are pretty shook up. He says they are all safe though.

At least he's keeping his sense of humor. He just sent me an e-mail.

All it says is: "Send lumber. Building an ark."

Funny Story about this storm. My cat was in the bath room a while ago making all sorts of nosies howling and just hissing and having a fit about something. I went in to find out what the heck was going on. Well the storm has picked up 30-45 miles hour raining like crazy, the static pressure in the vent stack for the toilet has increased causing the toilet water to gurgle and boil and the cat is so bewildered by this she's looking for some answer from me. It's so funny. Shes got her paws up on the rim and just staring at the water and looking at me.....
