Default Hurricane Fay headed toward Georgia/Tennessee

Hello.
Hurricane Fay moved just west of us early this morning. We had a lot of rain, some wind but thank goodness no tornadoes in our area. Just have some tree branches and a lot of pine needles to clean up. We are still getting squals of rain and wind.
Wellington did have atleast one tornado maybe two, unless it was the same one just touched down in another location in Wellington. A few homes were damaged. Stuart also had a tornado touch down. A Shell gas station had some damage there. So far no one hurt.
Georgia will be happy to get the rain.

Glad you made it through OK. I love hurricanes. Well, I love the actual storm. The aftermath is HOT AND STICKY AND INCONVENIENT. When we got one of the 2004 hurricanes (I can't remember which one, maybe Frances?), we went out on our back porch (which was enclosed and part of the house) during the worst of the storm, long after we lost power, and just listened to it and watched the wind whip through the trees. We could hear trees falling all over the place. Finally it got just a little bit too scary and we found ourselves pressed up against the wall of the main house, inching toward the sliding glass door. Ha! Good times.

I hope we do get some of the aftermath up here in Tennessee. My area hasn't had a lick of rain so far this month!

Tropical storm Fay came in at Marco Island. "Mrs1885" was born and raised there. She lives in Tennessee now. Last I looked it was near Lake Okochobee.

Anyone that wants to see pics can look here.

Predictions are for TS Fay to become a hurricane once it's back over the ocean. Then head northwest to Jax/Southern GA.

While maybe not probable it seems according to this report that she may decide to visit the gulf again and snub you nice folks in TN that need the rain. Here in C FL we've had rain all day long and it has been so beautiful.

Fay could be a boomerang storm, says Crist - Bay News 9
