Welcome to Tennessee! You're moving to a beautiful and dynamic area.

Averitt Express is a gigantic trucking company and is headquartered in Cookeville. They're adding on to their headquarters complex and said they should be hiring around 400 more employees in the next couple of years. Not all of those jobs are truckers, of course, but many are.

And the hospital in Cookeville, already the largest between Nashville and Knoxville, is undergoing a massive construction project that will double its size. I think something like 1,400 people work at the hospital, so you shouldn't have any problems finding a job as a nurse.

Good luck!

Default Twin Cities

We are also in Minnesota.
But, I am not from here, my hubby is.

My family lives in Tennessee, and I just want to go home....

We'll be down there in April.

You will find that the pace in Tennessee is a lot slower.
Not like the Twin Cities where everyone is in a hurry.
There are excellent hospitals in Tennessee.

You will find very gracious friendly people in Tennessee.

It's funny about misconceptions.
When we told our friends that we were moving to Minnesota, they asked us if we would have to burn the furniture in the winter.
They thought that we were moving to some backwards artic place, where everyone said, Yah, and you betcha.

Now, our friends here are teasing us about moving to Tennessee.
Well, they already laugh at the way that I talk sometimes... LOL.
Not being a Minnesotan, I don't sound like one.
I am a mixture of Southern, and whatever else that I have picked up.
