I just want you all to know that everyone on this forum are soooo friendly and helpful. And I really appreciate it. I really think TN is the FREINDLY STATE.
I posted something on the New Jersey forum. I was trying to find out some info for my friend. She and her husband are looking for retirement areas around Westfield, New Jersey. Something they can afford in a 55+ community. And No ONE has even posted anything. It has been over a week maybe even two weeks, with no responses.
I'm really glad TN C-D forum people are very helpful.
Hope everyone of you have a great weekend.

Isn't the reason why most people are leaving where their at and heading to Tennessee. "The People of Tennessee " Southern Hospitality.... I saw it first hand the whole week I was their.... Not fake... Not a Show.. "but genuine" Is the only way I can describe it. Makes you want to do the same.... pass that good will along to the next person.....

Well aren't you just the sweetest! Thanks for such a nice post, I appreciate you.

BTW, that phrase (I appreciate you) was one I never heard until I moved to TN, it has become one of my favorite and even more so because I only say it and hear it when it is heartfelt.

I feel the same way. I once posted beginner digital photo questions in the photography forum and no one answered. I asked one of the moderators to move it to the TN forum b/c everyone is so helpful. Sure enough I learned how to use my camera and post my pictures.

I love TN and most of the people here. The TN forum is the friendliest.

Lisa

Thank you all for the kind words about Tennesseans. I agree that the friendliness here is something special. One thing i'm kinda proud about TN too is the respect that is shown here for a funeral procession. Whenever we drivers meet a procession, we pull over to the side of the road and stop. Usually the men who are wearing caps or hats will take them off in respect. When the procession passes, we get back to our business travelling along. This kind of thing costs nothing, but the respect shown to the grieving family means the world to them... I don't think many other states do that sort of thing. But it's one more reason why Tennessee is so special to me.

Sadly, I've had to experience that first-hand in the past year. It does make the family feel better that people do that.

The last time was in July. We went by US 41-A and I don't think we met a single car or truck that didn't pull over. And when we had to turn to go to the cemetery, the sheriff's deputy blocked the highway and got out of his car and put his hat over his heart.

Default Respect is a great feeling-giving or receiving

I can hardly wait to get to TN. We sure don't have any respect around here. It is very hard to teach your children respect when no one else shows any. But I guess parents can't teach their kids something they don't know. Not many people practice respect anymore, and that is really sad.
