Tellico Plains (Knoxville, Maryville: Home Depot, job market, to buy)

Depending on an interview I have next week, there's a possibility I will get a

job offer in this area. Does anyone have some details on Tellico plains and

the areas within 30 min or so? I realize it is mostly rural but, are there cities

that have stores like Home Depot or Costco reasonably close?

I'm loving what I read of the area so far and the pictures of the scenery are

gorgeous.

Maryville is 20-30 minutes away and has Home Depot, Lowe's, Target, Wal-Mart, etc.. There's no Costco in all of East Tennessee, but there is a Sam's Club in Knoxville, about an hour from Tellico Plains.

My husband and I want to live in Tellico Plains so badly - We just love it there! We ride our bike up there as often as we can [live in Atlanta now and want to escape the rat-race]

We'll be spending the last weekend of September in a cabin there ... He is Operations Manger of a trucking company now ... Are there any trucking companies nearby Tellico Plains??? (18-wheelers). What's the job market like??

We want to buy a log cabin near the water - Any suggestions on that?

Help - we have to get out of Atlanta!!!
