Thumbs up Hixon / Chattanooga

K.G. : Say hello when you visit. We are VERY HAPPY with this North side of the city. Great mix of everything. Also newer style townhomes / condos being built in Hixon (Golf Course). Many activities / festivals conventions every weekend in the city. $2 baseball night lots of fun at stadium. Kayak / hiking very popular here, with new trails every season.
HGTV is suppose to have a series, filmed here in Chatt / Red Bank starting Sunday night, but no one knows if any scenes of the town,DREAM HOME.
Mtns, water, on three sides of city. LOts of churches and many organizations to volunteer for socal functions. . . [IMG][/IMG]

Yes, Chattanooga is a nice area. North Hamilton County (Soddy, Sale Creek) is great as well. You have the river on one side and the mountains on another. It's the best of both worlds. Soddy zip is 37379 Sale Creek 37373 for your searches. You can just hop on our "new" highway to downtown if anyone gets a job in Chattanooga! If you want to go a bit further into the rural areas and stay in the valley, Dayton (Rhea County) is just north of Soddy and Sale Creek. It's got a quaint downtown but you will still have to travel to Chattanooga if you need to shop at something more than Walmart and Home Depot. Mountains and water everywhere there as well. Glad to know you have someone in the area (Hixson) to help you out. Hixson is also nice but getting busier every day. Hope you enjoy your trip! I have a feeling you will.

Default Lots in Dunlap

Kim,

We bought 1 1/2 acres in Dunlap over a year ago, and plan to build at some point. We would be a transplant from NJ. It's in a pretty area in the valley. Yeah, its a little isolated, but there are some big stores downtown, Walmart, etc. And Chattanooga is 30 minutes away. The only problem is that Sequatchie is a DRY county. You'd need to stock up! If you're interested in lots, I can put you in touch with the person who owns several other lots in that area.

Let me know.

Sal
