What happened last night ??????

GasBuddy states this morning Pilot down $.50 to $4.49 and other stations down $1 to $3.99.....

With technology today (even though expensive to clean up ) coal would last probably a thousand years..... We have plenty of it right here in the good old USA....
As for bio, they are working on using grass for pellets for wood stoves instead of wood pellets....
We can not use other bio products from food sources to use as a supplement for gasoline - rob peter to pay paul....

As far as I know, we are the only southern state that is doing nothing about this. Down the street, Pilot is still brazenly advertising their $4.99 price tag. You get to do that sort of thing when the mayor's family owns the chain.

The 4th culprit might just be The Dodge Stores. They were 'featured' on Orlando news tonight selling yesterday @ 4.66 and today @ 3.69.

I was not listening correctly, I said Doc's it could have been "The Dodge Stores"

hiknapster Only if the state declared a state of emergency like FL. Can this be used against the corp as I understand it. The Corps have to prove to the state they bought fuel above market value when they declare state of emergency.

LOL, that figures.Seems folks hear the same thing about a few in the White House. A few VIP folks don't mind high gas prices, only the non VIP's like myself feel the pain.

I stopped at a Shell station this morning for gas. They were out of regular but had the two higher grades. Regular would have been $4.099 if they had had it. I paid $4.249 for the next higher grade.

From people I've talked to, and from the TV news, here is Nashville I think about 1 in 4 stations are out of gas at the moment, 2 out of the 4 are out of regular, and 1 out of the 4 still have all grades.

Yet, over in the Knoxville forum there's a guy from DFW, who says they have tons of evacuees from Houston all fueling up yet their gas price rose about 10 to 20 cents.

The Attorney General says that he is monitoring the situation. Um, good job. A picture of Pilot with the $4.99 advert on the front of CNN's front page wasn't compelling evidence, I guess.

We only have two gas stations in our town. Both were out of gas,and both got a load in. One is a small, small little station with only two pumps. One is reg 87 octane, the other pump is diesel. His gas is 3.58

The other station is our only store, a big one though that also sells gas,and their reg 87 octane is 4.39

The small guy seems to be getting his gas cheaper as I've always known both places to be as honest as honest can be. Neither place makes much profit selling gas, it has to be the vendors price making the difference between the two. These two have always been priced within two to three pennies of each other in the past. I honestly believe the higher of the two had to pay more for his tanker this time.
