Tennessee towns?
Anyone have time to share any thoughts about these towns if they are familiar with them? Rogersville, La Follette, Livingston, Savannah, Winchester, Sparta and Smithville. Or anyothers that you really like. Looking for some nice towns to check out. I don't think we would be interested in being closer than 30 miles from a large metro area. Thanks

What kind of information are you looking for? Will you be looking for a job? Do you need information about the schools?
As far as quaintness, I think Rogersville and Livingston are hard to beat. Rogersville is more historic, Livingston is smaller. I posted some pics of downtown Livingston on here a couple of weeks ago. Do a search for "pics of Livingston" and you'll see them. Livingstin is 15 miles (4-lane highway) to Cookeville, so most people in Livingston go to Cookeville for work, entertainment, shopping. Livingston has a few fast-food joints and a couple of grocery stores. Cookeville has the Wal-Marts, Sam's Club, JCPenney, etc. But Livingston is a pretty little town nestled in the hills, really close to a gorgeous lake (Dale Hollow), and the people are super friendly.

Oops, I am retired and my wife will be in 2-3 years max if not sooner. No kids, looking for smaller communities where the people are friendly and take pride in their town. Thanks again.

Johnson City
Thanks Pat,
I am applying to ETSU/pharmacy in Johnson City, though I know nothing about the place. I just thought it would be nice to be up in the mountains there. Anything else you can tell me about the town?
Thanks,
Future Pharm Stu.
