Honestly, several folks on this forum have had problems in Jefferson County when it came to being a "new comer". There was a couple here about a year ago that moved to Dandridge from FL and she was Latino and said she had lots of problems due to that.
I lived there when I first moved to TN but that was almost 12 years ago, it took a while for us to fit in and that was with only a few wonderful families, to the majority, we were the outsiders. I am sure it has changed some in that time. However, I was out in the country not in town and that can make a difference to. I would HIGHLY suggest that you visit before you move there. Are you moving there because you have a job there lined up?

no i am retired. i had visted sevierville, tn last year and wanted to moved there but the cost of living as for housing was rather steep and i would be renting. so it was suggested to me to try jefferson city or danbridge. as i looked on the computer for info the area seem to fit the bill. but sometimes your neighbors can make a move not so enjoyable so i was just wondering what to expect. who better to tell you but the locals...thanks for your help

Have you looked into the Seymour area? Galli on here has moved there recently, is retired and loves it. It too is close proximity to Sevierville, maybe she could help you out.

I live in Seymour, its nice and quiet here, its halfway between Knoxville and Sevierville therefore you can get to both in a short drive(about 12 miles either way) I live in an Apt complex(townhouses)and have been here a year. We retired here and love it. I just met another lady, she is 59 and retired here from MI. We have stores and fast food places and like I said, short drive to any where. I will DM you with my place. Good luck
