I was out at the Greekfest, so my apologies to anyone that may think that I am over here pouting.
No problem, tekfreek. <<Big hugs!>>
I bet you were thinking back to when you first were asking questions on this forum and were not sure if we were legitimate people. We could have been a bunch of crazed developers!
Were you the person that was asking about the crime rate in Crossville? I remember that thread, but I'm not sure if it was you. So many troop through here that it is hard to say.
I've said this before, and it really happens a LOT in the Florida forum; sometimes people will only see and hear what they want to see and hear.
Knoxgarden, every so often you come out with a story that makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time. The real estate closing where you had to borrow gas money from your agent comes to mind. That was a laugh when I really needed it.
LauraC, that's hilarious, but it illustrates a point, I guess. A small town is only as good as its people.

FYI On....FFG On "Mobile" ~ "Manufactured" and "Modular Homes". From what I was told any home prior too 1978 is consider a Mobile Home any units after are "Manufactured Homes". Please correct me if this information is wrong.
While exploring the last 2 years on my trips I did find a small conclave of Manufactured Homes and possible single wide mobiles in the area West of Heatherhurst Park and Stonehenge Dr. and Cross Ln running north for several streets starting at Monticello Ln. A mix from the late 1970's -- 1990's.
Also I found off Peavine running SE on Westchester pass Dorchester Country Club off Lancashire Road is Preston Woods Circle that has a number of " Modular Homes" This information I found after my trip. I have no idea how many homes are in a 2-3 block area. But from the information I got it was exclusively
"Modular Homes only that had to meet a standard for the exclusive community with in that area of "Preston Woods"

I'm looking through a lot of old Fairfield Glades posts. Looks like there was a big anticipation for the place to really grow. I guess the economy may be a big reason a lot of people have decided against moving there and not that they didn't know what the town was like.

The several times I've passed threw FFG it's a " Golf Community" I don't golf, so I have no interest. From what I see of FFG it's nice and looks to be maintained and people who live there take pride in their homes, but I'm a country bumpkin. The only reason I was looking in FFG was for a temporary home / apartment till I get reestablished in that area. I could see it being very appealing to a Golfer / Retirement place or a second home.

I think it will grow.
Once the Baby Boomer Retirement Era takes hold there are going to be an amazing number of people looking for places like FFG. The boom is in its infancy, and the next five years in places like FFG are going to be very, very interesting.

Here's a weird thought. It's coming from me, so take it for what it's worth.
I don't see the baby boomers going for those sort of places. I mean, we all get old, but there is enormous difference between them and, say, my parents, who are in their 70s.
