I had to make a run for the car. Not funny. Sooooo, just a warning. In the first week of November, if your tires go crunch, crunch, crunch when you go to park the car in a nice area where the trees overhang the parking area, move your car or be prepared to take fire if there's a gust of wind.
Laura, you were lucky they were acorns.....

Over here on the plateau the squirrels throw hickory nuts at ya and eat the telephone wires.....

I drove to Dandridge early this week. I go through Sparta and up to Crossville to hit I40 to head over. There is tons of color in that area right now. Just gorgeous. Unfortunately the batteries in my camera died and the ones I picked up for a buck for a four pack were dead too, so no photos. But if anyone is out that way, great place to snap some pics. Wildcat Falls was really running nice too.

A friend of mine snapped this this evening on the highway (about 15 miles from my house)... as you can see we are peak or darn near it! Photo is blurry, but the colors are stunning...

This is between Bristol and Elizabethton... in northeast Tennessee

This was in my back lawn... this tree is always stunning... not as great this year...

This is south of my house... about 5-10 miles... this is at the base of the mountain in a river valley... one of the coolest areas in the immediate area... as you can see trees are further along here....

this was my great grandparents house until 1989 when my great grandmother passed away... great grandfather had passed in 1987. A cousin still lives here though....

getting back into downtown here...

Gorgeous pics, Kamoshika!

Just about at max color here in southern Middle Tennessee.

These were taken kinda like a panorama moving left to right of my back yard...wet, gray, rainy day. The rain won't help the leaves stay on!

I'll start making them a little bigger once I figure out how...

Im not much of a photographer and my camera just crapped out, but I took these on my drive home from work yesterday up brotherton mtn. from algood to monterey. The scenery was really beautiful, but there wasnt anywhere to pull over and get a good shot especially of the hills in the valley that I could see thru the trees.

Sorry the longhorns were in the field today.
